Working with clay calms my soul, letting it sing and dance as it is released in forms otherwise unexpressed.
I enjoy the earthiness of clay, getting dirty to transform something crude and natural into something strong, elegant, and even useful. I am able to express myself through controlled, strong vessels and their unblemished canvases, making them my own through embellishments and flare.
Inspired by Art Nouveau, I find pleasure in creating classic, simple and smooth forms that harmonize with moving, free-flowing lines of slip trailing and intricate carvings. Allocating space, finding balance and unity in a piece brings out an inner beat that makes me dance.
