IMAGE Art Show 2014

Bio

The East Central Regional Arts Council held the IMAGE Art Show from November 8 to 21, 2014. A total of 144 pieces of art were in the show and almost 500 people attended. Thanks to all the artists and attendees for making it a wonderful art experience!

Here Marilyn Cuellar of Cambridge accepts the BEST IN SHOW award for her drawing Hostas- Light and Shadow. Presenting her with the award are the Show Judges Brandon Kuehn and Bethany Whitehead.

Artist Statement

The East Central Regional Arts Council (ECRAC) is proud to honor the award winners of the twenty eighth annual IMAGE Art Show which opened on November 8 and was held through the 21st.

The Best of Show Award went to Marilyn Cuellar of Cambridge for “Hostas – Light and Shadow”. The People’s Choice Award was awarded to Andrea Torma of Wyoming for her drawing "Untitled".

Purchase Awards become part of the permanent collection of the East Central Regional Arts Council.

The IMAGE Art Show is an annual event open to any artist in Region 7E (including the MN counties of Chisago, Kanabec, Isanti, Mille Lacs, and Pine.) The Art Show and the awards honor some of the finest art in the area. The judges for the show were Bethany Whitehead and Brandon Kuehn. They both have a wide range of art show judging experience. According to Kuehn “The artists in the region are extremely talented and it was an honor to be part of the IMAGE Art Show.”

The IMAGE Art Show photographer was Bruce Mosher - these photos are credited to him unless otherwise noted.

This art exhibition was made possible by The McKnight Foundation and also by the voters of Minnesota thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
