I have been playing with repurposed and vintage wool jackets for years, and as an embroidery professional and textile artist. Each one of the coats eventually tell me what their story is. It's my creative outlet as a textile artist that I get to wear for everyone to enjoy! I also have people bring me a coat, and they tell me their story, then let me interpret it for them through color and designs in thread. Some of my coats get complete makeovers, and some get nice perks to enhance the beauty they already have within them. The process of transforming a coat can sometimes take days and some just "hit me" from conversations or books that I have read to my granddaughters.
