Dear friends and colleagues,

Is summer really over? Technically, we still have a couple more days until we hit the autumnal equinox. But with Labor Day well behind us, September brings us many things like back to school, football season, apple picking, cooler weather (hooray!), spooky season, and the beginning of the fall/winter events at so many art centers and cultural spaces. Whatever you decide to dive into may it be enjoyable. If you are looking for an event try out the art event calendar below! Or if you are having an art event, please add it to the list!

This newsletter is full of information pertinent to our Region. As usual, there is a density of information, but all of the posts and links are intended to reach out to you. Have a look and please let us know if there is something you would like us to include in future newsletters.

Wishing you good health, happiness, and peace.

from all of us at the East Central Regional Arts Council

You can participate in funding the arts, yes, YOU!

Become a grant reviewer or a Board Member! You will have a direct impact on facilitating arts events, projects, trainings, and festivals. ECRAC does offer a stipend for all meetings plus mileage reimbursement for in person meetings. Your voice & input is needed at the grant and decision making table!

A word from our Grant Program Officer,

funding is available!

Are you curious about the East Central Regional Arts Council (ECRAC) grant programs? Do you have questions about how to apply for a grant? Do you want to know if your art project is eligible for a grant? Join us for a grant info session and we can help answer questions like this and many more. The upcoming grant deadlines to apply for arts funding are October 1, 2024, February 1, 2025, and April 1, 2025. If you are in Minnesota's Region 7E, the counties of Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs and Pine, art grant funds are available. Now is a great time to start thinking about applying.

ECRAC would like to schedule a grant information session with anyone interested in learning more about ECRAC grant opportunities. These sessions cover basic information about ECRAC grant programs, as well as recent changes to the grant application processes. If you have already attended a grant information session in the past, a refresher is a great way to keep you up to date!

Grant Information Sessions are for Artists who want to learn about funding available as well as art groups, non-profits, schools, or public entities who are interested in learning about funding available for your art project for the upcoming ECRAC grant deadlines, grant information sessions can be online via zoom, or you are welcome to set up a time to meet in person. To register for a grant information session visit ecrac.org, or contact ECRAC Staff.

For more information or for assistance with registering for one of these sessions please contact Katina Eklund, Grant Program Officer, East Central Regional Arts Council, at grantinfo@ecrac.org or by calling 320-336-0200 extension 1. We hope to hear from you soon!

Upcoming building construction: Please be advised that during 2024 ECRAC is still expecting updates to our building including a new roof and windows. These are very much needed, and we will keep you posted as we learn more about the timing of the work. This will not affect the ECRAC grant deadline or IMAGE Art Show schedule.

As always, we ask for your support, but not monetarily! For us your support is sharing the resources available for the arts community. This is not just an endorsement of our work, but it helps with our commitment to elevating artist’s artwork and voices and examples of how community art projects matter. Please help us by sharing this email and encouraging other arts interested people to learn about ECRAC.

Thank you all for your creativity, your artwork, and for all of your community building!

These activities are made possible with funds provided by the McKnight Foundation and thanks to the State of Minnesota legislative appropriations from the Arts and Cultural Heritage (Legacy) & General Funds.
