Free Art Classes- For Seniors with Memory Loss

Join us for a special art class for seniors experiencing memory loss and their caregivers. In this FREE class, offered by the Hallberg Center for the Arts in partnership with the Chisago County Senior Center, participants will create art side by side. Thanks to a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, both will have the opportunity to make their own artwork, build creativity, and strengthen their bond while creating lasting memories. Join us in April for a creative workshop where we'll craft handmade stamps and spring-themed greeting cards! Using foam, we’ll design custom stamps, then bring our cards to life with inks, glitter, stickers, and other fun supplies, creating beautiful springtime greetings! The class is scheduled for two hours, but participants can leave whenever they feel finished. Instruction is designed to be easy to follow steps, with suggestions about how participants can use the materials. We have multiple instructors who will walk around to assist pairs when needed and offer encouragement. Yes! we designed this class to be for both participants to make their own artwork. We want to encourage relationship building and help resist caregiver burn out. We hope that making both people a priority will help with this! What about Parking?
